Melissa Stack
Mrs. Stack initially studied at West Texas State University (West Texas A&M) in Canyon, TX in pre-P.T. and minored in psychology before receiving her degree in physical therapy from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1983. She has worked in various settings including a hospital in Amarillo, TX, nursing homes, individual's homes, and for the past several years, in outpatient orthopedic settings. Following the opening of her private practice in 1990, she began specializing in the treatment of TMJ dysfunction. She taught physical therapy and dental students at UTHSCSA for years regarding the evaluation and treatment of TMD, and has lectured extensively on this subject. Although she specializes in TMD, she also enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic and some neurological conditions. She has held different offices at the local and state levels, and has been active in the TPTA. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, scrapbooking, fishing and spending time outdoors. Mrs. Stack enjoys treating and spending time with her patients, and loves what she is able to share with them on their journey to recovery. She finds it always amazing to see the progress her patients make as they work so hard to recover, and to see the joy and relief when they attain their goals and return to levels of function that they may have never dreamed they could attain.
