Lateral epicondylitis, more commonly known as tennis elbow, is a painful condition that involves injury to the extensor tendons of the lateral elbow. It is painful to grasp or lift objects and can be tender to touch on the outside of the elbow. It typically affects people 30-50 years and is usually caused by overuse, but it can be caused by trauma.
